Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query under its own policy and supplies the result. Kittitas County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or direct message may be retained to provide a reply and maintain the related correspondence. It is not disclosed outside the organization unless the law requires that disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Every time a page on this site loads, our servers pick up some technical details about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device to support traffic measurement and site functions. Analytics providers aggregate patterns such as popular pages and where visits end. A browser can block or remove cookies, although some site features may then behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Kittitas County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case records. Its content identifies official routes to Kittitas County Superior Court, the County Clerk, the District Courts, and Washington search systems. Visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report or a record about another person, and this private site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate search boxes shown on some pages. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and disclosure practices govern information submitted to them. Review the displayed provider's policy before sending a query because this policy does not control that processing.
Links to Other Websites
Throughout the site we link to clerk of court pages, trial court portals, statewide case-search systems, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Clicking any of those links takes you off our site. At that point, their privacy policy governs your visit. Read it before sharing any personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable technical and organizational practices are used to protect collected information. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security, so unauthorized access or loss cannot be ruled out.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. A verified request concerning a minor's submitted information will be addressed as applicable law requires.
Your Data Rights
Rights concerning personal data may arise under applicable Washington privacy or consumer-protection law. Those private-site questions are distinct from public-record access: General Rule 31 governs Washington court records, while the Public Records Act provision at RCW 42.56.070 addresses agency administrative records. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices or legal duties change. Replacement text and its effective date will be posted here, and later use of the site is subject to that version.
